SEASON OVER...

What a season, eh? And now it's all over for at least a couple of months until you all start plotting the next campaign. I hope you Super League members enjoyed it as much as I did!

It seems that in some competitions, the fat lady not only sings but then gets dragged off to the Priory for some much needed R&R.

In TFF, she only sang but for those managers who have been battling it out at the top now for months, they could also probably do with being looked after. This game can frazzle the brain as the season nears its end.

This season has been a little different - and slightly better for those with dispositions as nervous as a politician when he sees his name at the top of the Sultans of Sleaze leaderboard! I knew, going into the FA Cup Final, that, barring a miracle like a 33-33 draw or a spell incarcerated or Simon Cowell's wallet landing on the pitch, that I was not going to be like Susan Boyle and fall at the final hurdle. In fact Laughing Buddha increased his lead in the final week to win by a conclusive 84 points!

"It's been a great season," said Mr Plummer, "I had a bad start and then later made a transfer which screwed up but got lucky with my strikers. R. Bednar scored well for me early on before getting busted, then even Alves kept finding the net! On top of that, I ended with a solid defence with Huth, Coloccini, Bale and Eboue who kept coming on late and scoring. He may have been the difference." "I did most of my managing by feel, you just get a feeling when it's right to make a transfer." That's a nice way to win the main prize! Advice to next year's players - "try not to use your transfers too quickly, and have the odd drink before making them to loosen the mind!" Congrats also to one of our league members for reaching the final of the TFF Cup that was introduced this season!
